WHat Sets Us Apart

Boy Cuddling with his Dog

In-Home Care

First and foremost, we are not like your typical Board and Train Programs where your puppy spends most of their time in a kennel only being let out for training, and exercise. Every dog that comes into one of our programs is integrated into our household as a member of our family. Along with our formal training sessions, we are constantly training your puppy throughout the day to prevent nuisance behaviors such as chewing on the furniture, barking, chasing the kids, and more!

Certified

Did you know the dog training industry is unregulated? That means anyone can call themselves a trainer - but expertise matters. Melissa is a certified professional dog trainer with credentials from CPDT-KA, Fear Free, and Good Dog Citizen. She is committed to ongoing education and staying up to date with the latest, science-backed training techniques to help dogs thrive.

At our training sessions, you'll never find shock or prong collars used as "quick fixes." Instead, we focus on positive, effective, ethical training to build happy, well-balanced dogs and strong relationships with their humans.

Mental Enrichment

Mental Enrichment is a key component of our programs. Physical exercise is not enough to have a happy and healthy dog. We are passionate about providing daily mental enrichment outside of basic training to ensure your dog builds mental fortitude and natural problem-solving skills and has fun!

Socialization

Proper socialization is critical for puppies! If done incorrectly, you can build fear and reactivity; if it's not done at all, you can have the same problems! During your dog's stay in one of our Board and Train Programs, we spend time making sure your dog is properly exposed to many different things to build confidence and neutrality around new dogs, people, and unknown stimuli.

You Keep The Equipment

You keep our training equipment! With the exception of crates and playpens, everything we use to train your puppy will go home with you to ensure your continued success at home. While we lay the groundwork for an amazing dog, it is always important to continue to practice at home. We train you at pick-up to ensure you understand how to continue to succeed at home and your dog doesn't lose the skills they have learned.

Great Communication

Transparency is important to us! You will receive text and video updates of your puppy while they are with us, and you will get weekly phone check-ins and detailed report cards to talk about any possible problem behaviors we see, what we have been working on, and the success your puppy is having!  You are always welcome to visit your puppy!

Included Medical Care

When puppies first come home, they require regular veterinary visits to ensure they’re healthy and on track with their care. We handle all of that for you! From the initial check-up and fecal test to vaccines and boosters (administered every 3–4 weeks), we’ve got you covered.

The number of veterinary visits your puppy will receive depends on the length of the training program you choose. Check out our programs to learn more!
